Thank you for your interest in the
Montessori School of Dayton!

We are proud to be the Dayton area’s largest private non-profit Montessori School providing an authentic Montessori education for children aged toddler to eighth grade. In addition to visiting our website, we also hope you will begin the application process with a tour of our school.  This will allow you to get an up close look at our individualized approach to teaching and learning.

Our admission process is created to give you a clear sense of our program and to give us the opportunity to get to know you and your child a little better. We seek a diverse group of children and families who are interested in and committed to Montessori education. Please review the four steps below to begin your Montessori journey.

We are looking forward to meeting your family!

1. Tour

The first step in the admissions process is a tour of the school. Our program is so unique, we want you to see it first-hand. School tours are conducted throughout the year on a scheduled basis.  Please select the Schedule a Tour button at the bottom of this page or call the office at 937-293-8986.

2. Observation

After your tour, you are asked to observe our programs. Observation gives you the best view of how the program works and how our teachers interact with the children. After your observation, you will meet with the Head of School who will answer any of your questions. The observations are for adults only, no children please.

3. Application

After your observation, you may turn in your application. There is a non-refundable $100.00 application fee. No child will be considered for admission until we have a completed application on file with the paid application fee.

4. Enrollment

Congratulations! You have completed the admissions process and submitted your application. All fees, deposits and completed forms, including an up-to-date medical record, must be in the office before a child can begin his/her first day of school.

Admissions decisions are made by the administrative staff in conjunction with the teaching staff. These decisions are based on the needs of the existing classes with regard to balance of age and gender.

Upon receipt of a signed tuition payment plan, enrollment contract, and non-refundable tuition deposit, the Montessori School of Dayton will secure a place for your child.

We enroll students throughout the year as space is available from our waiting list. Call for specific information.
